By the 1910 he was in close contact with Section d'Or cubism and then greatly influenced by the abstract use of colour propounded by the Delaunays as 'Orphism'. He became a central figure in Parisian abstract art, his later works as here are based on the interaction of colour and geometric form. His prints of this period are scarce.
