Original drawing in blue felt-tip pen. c.1951/55. Signed with the estate monogram stamp. From a sketchbook dating from the early 1950's divided-up by Edouard Dermitte, the legatee of the Cocteau's estate.
Note: The monogram stamp was placed on drawings found unsigned in the artist's studio when it was inherited by Dermitte in 1963.

Fine strong drawing, the felt-tip line unfaded. On white wove paper from a pocket sketch-pad, with the ring-binding perforations at the left edge. Drawn virtually to full sheet size. Sheet: 10 5/8 x 8 1/4ins (270x210mm).
