An outstandingly strong and characteristic drawing from the immediate post-war period. At this date Cocteau was interested in the concept of form created by linking apparently random 'dot prints'. It was derived from the ideas of his pre-war involvement with Surrealism and the desire to express the random non-subjective imagery of the subconscious. |
