Lithograph in black ink on pale cream paper with original green-toned backing sheet. c.1888. Conceived and created by Degas; lithography by Thornley with close supervision and retouching by Degas. Signed in the stone by Thornley. From the edition of 100 (plus 25 proofs). Issued in the album: Quinze Lithographies - Fifteen Lithographs. Printed at the Atelier Becquet. Issued by Boussod Valadon, Paris 1889.

As exhibited 'London and Paris 1970-1910' Tate Gallery, 2005 no 34 and Phillips collection, Washington 2006. Extremely fine impression. Pale cream chine appliqué on stif f green-toned wove, as issued. Excellent condition; slight time tone and sheet edge knocks. Sheet: 568x386. Image:240x200mm.
