Original drypoint printed in colours. c. 1898/99. Signed in pencil. Numbered 39 in pencil (from edition of about 100 impressions). Issued by the Cercle Librairie Estampes, Paris, c. 1899, and with their blindstamp. Ref: See Wedmore - Helleu ?A Gallery of Portraits? No. 23.

A superb impression with rich drypoint burr and extremely flesh unfaded colours. On heavy stiff cream wove paper. Excellent condition. Very slight traces of old mounting on the reverse only. With good small margins. Sheet: 24 1/2" x 16 1/4". Plate: 22 3/8 x 13 7/8" (568x532mm).
