Original etching in black ink with wiped background tone. 1966. Signed in pencil. Numbered 94 in pencil from the edition of 100 (there were also 25 proof impressions). Etched and printed at the Atelier Georges Visat, Paris 1966. Issued by Editions Visat. Ref: Kaplan and Baum - Magritte The Graphic Work no.5. Magritte's most important work in etching.

Excellent impression with strong wiped tone. On pale cream BFK wove paper. Excellent condition. Full margins. Sheet: 375 x 275mm. 14 3/4 x 10 7/8ins. Plate: 225 x 165mm. 8 7/8 x 6 1/2ins.
