Stencilprint (screenprint) in colours after the painting by Kandinsky. 1931/1953. Signed in pencil by Nina Kandinsky, the artist's widow and stamped 'd'après Kandinsky'. Numbered (229) in ink from the edition of 300, plus 10 proofs. Printed at the Atelier Arcay, Paris 1953. Issued in series 'Maitres de l'Art Abstrait - Masters of Abstract Art - No 1' by Editions d'Art d'Aujourd'hui, Boulogne 1953.

Brilliant fresh impression with excellent colours. On smooth stiff off-white wove paper. Extremely fine condition - never previously framed. Full margins. Sheet: 638x488mm. 25 1/8 x 19 1/8ins. Image: 410x355mm. 16 1/8 x 14ins.
