Original woodcut in black ink. 1894. Annotated in pencil by Pola Gauguin (Gauguin's son): 'Paul Gauguin Fait - Made by Paul Gauguin' and inscribed: 'Pola Gauguin imp - printed by Pola Gauguin. Signed by Paul Gauguin with his initials in the block. Numbered in pencil from the edition of 100 impressions hand-printed by Pola Gauguin from his father's block in 1921.

Excellent impression with superb rich and clear printing. On light off-white chine volant paper. Excellent condition. Good margins. Sheet: 255x420mm. Block: 8 1/8 x 14ins. 203x35 2mm.
Note: Impressions from Pola Gauguin's edition were extremely well printed bringing-out all the nuances of the block.
