Lithograph in blue-grey ink printed onto blue-green toned paper. c.1888. Conceived and created by Degas; lithographed by William Thornley with the close co-operation of Degas (who retouched the stone before the edition). From the edition of 100 (plus 26 proofs). Issued in the album: 'Quinze Lithographies - Fifteen lithographs'. Printed at the Atelier Becquet. Issued by Boussod-Valadon, Paris 1889.

Excellent impression. On blue-green tinted stiff wove paper. Excellent original condition; slight minor discolouration at the sheet edges. Sheet: 22 3/8 x 15 3/8ins. Image: 9 1/4 x 10 5/8ins. 235x270mm.
