Original etching in black ink. 1857. Signed with the monogram in the plate. Also with the engraved name of the artist: J.E.Millais. Published by the Etching Club for 'Etchings for the Art Union', 1857 (29).

Ecxellent impression with a very light tone. On pale cream laid india (chine appliqué) with a white wove backing sheet, as issued. Excellent condition; slightest traces of old mounting. Approx. 1 inch margins. Plate: 8 1/8 x 6 1/4ins (205x160mm)
