Original linocut printed in blue on red paper. 1938. Signed in the block (There were no issued pencil signed impressions - only about 2 proofs). From the first edition issued by San Lazzaro for 'XXe Siècle’, Paris 1938. (The edition was originally c.1500 impressions but at least half were lost/destroyed between 1939 and 1945).

Excellent impression with crisp blue against the red medium weight wove paper. Excellent condition. Full sheet as issue Image virtually to full size (1/8-1/4inch margins). Block: 12 x 9 1/8ins. (305x230mm)
