Original pen and ink drawing. c. 1948/50. Signed 'Jean' in pen. Also inscribed with the title and signed 'Jean' on the reverse. A project for the design of a fanciful pack of playing cards

Unusually fine strong drawing. On soft pale cream wove paper. Excellent original condition; not restored. Drawn virtually to the full sheet size, as intended by Cocteau. Sheet: 7 3/4 x 5 3/4ins (195x145mm)
