Original lithograph in colours. 1951/54. Signed in pencil (Jean) and dedicated by Cocteau to Fernand Mourlot (à Fernand Mourlot). Proof before the signed edition of 150 impressions. The image was subsequently used (1954) with additional lettering as the poster for the Exposition Nice Cote d'Azur at the Salon de TWA in Paris. Printed at the Mourlot Studio.
Excellent impression with very strong unfaded colours. On pale cream wove Arches paper. Excellent condition; a slight trace of old mount hinges on the reverse of the sheet only. Full margins. Sheet: 28 1/4 x 20 1/2ins. Image: 26 3/8 x 19 1/8ins (670x485mm)
