Original etching in black ink. 1873. Signed with the symbol of the 'pendu' - see below. From the first published edition printed in an edition of c.1000 at the Atelier Delatre, 1906. Issued by Duret in the album: Les Peintres Impressionistes, Paris 1906.
Note: Only a very few proof impressions exist prior to this issue. Cézanne used the symbol of the hanged man on number of works drawn in Auvers c.1873
