Oiseau en Bleu. L'Ordre des Oiseaux no. 4

Original etching with aquatint in colours. 1961/62. Signed in pencil. Numbered 20 from the signed edition of 30 impressions. Etched and printed at the Atelier Crommelynck, Paris 1961/62. One of the 30 special proofs for the series:' L'Ordre des Oiseaux - Order of the Birds'. The complete series was also issued in an album edition of 130 unsigned impressions by Au Vent d'Arles, Paris 1962.

Superb impression with glowing colour. On handmade Richard de Bas wove paper with 'Au Vent d'Arles' watermark. Excellent condition. Full margins as issued. Sheet: 426x540mm. Plate: 346 x 463mm. 13 5/8 x 18 1/4ins.
