Le Pretre Marié. Les Pommes Masquées - Masked Apples. Also known as 'La Valse Hesitation - Hesitation Waltz'.

Etching with aquatint in colours - conceived & commenced by Magritte in 1966; the work on the plate completed in 1967 by the Visat studio with authorisation of his widow. Signed with the facsimile signature authorised by Mme Magritte (no hand-signed impressions exist). Numbered (XVI-16) from the special edition of XXV-25. Total issued edition of 350 plus proofs. Edition printed at the Atelier Visat, 1967/68.

Note: With the authentication stamp - 'Gravure Originale René Magritte'. Issued in series: Signes de Survie'.
