Exposition Vallauris 1953.

Linocut in black ink printed over bands of hand painted wash colour, used as a poster for the Vallauris Exhibition 1953. Signed in the block. Printed for Picasso by Arnera, Vallauris 1953. Original edition possibly c.1000 impressions but very many lost. Now very scarce especially with such exceptional fresh colours as here.

Very fine strong impression with unfaded colours. On light rather poor quality off-white poster paper. Excellent condition - not washed or restored. Printed to the full sheet size. Sheet: 670x515mm. (26 3/8 x 20 1/4ins.)
