Original lithograph in black ink. 1945. Signed with initials and dated 9.3.45 in the stone. (Only three hand signed proofs are known, there was no hand signed edition). Edition of 192. Drawn and printed at the Atelier Mourlot, Paris 1945. Issued in the series:'Les Murs - Walls', Paris
1945. Ref: Webel - Dubuffet L'Oeuvre Gravé no 60.

Note: 'Les Murs' and 'Matière et Mémoire' are the two great iconic groups of early lithographs by Dubuffet.

Very fine impression with strong inking. On cream wove Montval paper. Excellent original condition. Printed almost to the full sheet size, as issued. Sheet: 380x285mm. 15 x 11 1/4ins.
