Lithograph in colours; from a maquette in watercolour by Chagall for the ceiling of the Paris Opera, drawn on the stones by Charles Sorlier under Chagall's supervision at the Atelier Mourlot. 1964. Specially signed in ink. There was a signed edition of 225 impressions before the lettering; lettered impressions are normally unsigned. Issued by 'La Tourisme Francaise', Paris 1964.

Superb fresh impression with very strong colours. On smooth pale cream wove poster paper. Exceptionally fine condition. Printed to the full sheet size, as issued. Sheet: 25 5/8 x 39 3/4ins. 650 x 1010mm.
