Femme Nue Couchée - Tournée à Droite. Sleeping Nude - Turned to the Right.

Original drypoint in black ink. 1893/95. Signed with the signature stamp. Very rare early first state proof impression on antique paper probably printed c.1895 - at the period the plate was drawn. (The first issued edition was printed by Louis Fort for Renoir and Vollard from the reduced size plate in c.1910).

Beautiful early impression with light tone and drypoint burr. On antique (18th century) laid paper . Excellent original condition, not restored. Full margins. Sheet: 230x360mm. 9 x 14 1/8ins. Plate: 136x197mm. 5 3/8 x 7 3/4ins.
